The Product of Fire and Water

(Author's note: This "story" is yet to be decided on wheter to be kept sepeate or encorperated into a larger plot)

The portal for this world was a distance to the city I had made it to, even by flight. I knew that if I were to want to get back home, I would have to stop here. I hated strange cities.I found more often than not, I found my hide in trouble of some sort when I entered one, Sighing, I made my way towards it. Little did I expect what happened next. I had been walking down this path in anthro form, ready to switch to either a full dragon, or full human form, dependant on the village's inhabitants. As it was, I now found myself facing a ranger, armed with a scythed chain. As the formidable figure spoke, Rednic blinked. The voice was unmistakeably feminine.

"What is your business here, stranger?"

I bowed, trying to be graceful to her, and spoke "I am here exploring from lands inexplicably far from these. I came to seek from your magnificent citya place to restock my wares, and rest, so that I may continue learning more of this world and its inhabitants. It has been rather intriguing so far, I must admit" I replied. It was not a lie: she did intrigue me, the royal blue optics and burnished gold horns and claws all that her clothing would show of her, and yet it was not enough to explain my desire to get to know her better. It was strange though... She looked likea strange mix of goat, eagle and reptile... Beneath the dark clothing that hid so much of her, I could not tell what she was... I wanted to believe that she was another... but could there really exist on this world what only remained on mine as myself?
